AquaTechnex to undertake its first US Phoslock Application
AquaTechnex will undertake its first application of Phoslock to a series of lakes in Southern California in October. Three lakes have been identified in the Orange County region where AquaTechnex have recently secured a three year contract to maintain these and 12 other lakes for the contract period.
AquaTechnex and PWS signed a marketing agreement in July 2010 allowing AquaTechnex to represent Phoslock in certain states of the United States. AquaTechnex's core business is lake and water body remediation and these applications, if successful will see expanded use of Phoslock with established AquaTechnex customers in 2010 and beyond.
In addition to the lakes being treated in southern California in October, AquaTechnex have identified a number of other potential projects for the use of Phoslock . PWS also signed a co-operation agreement with a reputable US lake remediation consulting company in July 2010 which covers Florida and adjoining states. This company has also identified a number of projects to use Phoslock on, and is currently seeking customer and regulatory approval for the use of Phoslock as an alternative to sediment dredging, on a recently awarded contract.
