Testing Update at Lempuyang-1 Well, Block L, Brunei
Further to the testing schedule announced on 18 January 2011, AED Oil Limited (ASX Code: AED), as operator of Block L, Brunei, wishes to update the market on the progress of testing.
Since the last announcement, AED has overseen the following developments at the Lempuyang-1 well:
- The Hydraulic Workover Rig operating at the Lempuyang-1 well-site has successfully re-entered and conditioned the well-bore;
- All test equipment is now on site, apart from perforating guns and explosives; and
- The packer and wellbore seal assembly has been pressure tested and are on site.
Explosives and perforating guns are expected to arrive on site today, and following final safety checks being conducted, AED expects that initial perforation of the reservoir will occur on 2 February 2011.
AED will update the market as the testing progresses.
