SubZero Group Limited (SZG) has signed a contract with Rio Tinto Coal Australia Pty Limited, for the offsite repair of buckets, dippers and dozer blades for their Hunter Valley Operations and Mt Thorley Warkworth mines.
The contract term is three years, with a two year option for extension. SubZero expects the initial term could generate up to $40m in sales revenue, with a further increase in revenue if the contract is extended. The contract will be delivered by SubZero’s specialist heavy engineering and fabrication division, Bro-Built Engineering, at their Muswellbrook and Mt Thorley facilities.
Commenting on the contract Scott Farrell, SubZero’s Managing Director said, “this contract is a reflection of SubZero’s capability and capacity, especially at our new facilities in Muswellbrook that have the capacity to lift and rotate buckets, dippers and dozer blades within the workshop.”
