Calibre wins $79M contract

Calibre Group Limited (ASX:CGH) has been awarded a contract worth $79 million for work on the Hay Point coal terminal expansion in central Queensland.
 
The engineering company’s wholly owned subsidiary, G&S Engineering Services, will carry out the new and extended work for BHP Billiton Mitsubishi Alliance.
 
The project will include on and offshore electrical and mechanical work. 
 
CEO Peter Reichler says he is pleased with the award and that Calibre is strongly committed to its coal sector infrastructure clients in the region. 
 
Calibre Group reported a net profit of $16.2 million in the first half of the 2014 financial year.
