ASX third quarter profit lifts

Company News

ASX Limited (ASX:ASX) says a lift in group earnings and a solid revenue performance boosted net profit over the first three quarters.

For the nine month to March 31, ASX recorded a net profit of $260.7 million. That was a 1.7 per cent lift on the $256.3 million recorded in the same period a year ago.

The ASX’s two largest businesses, Listings and Issuers Services and Derivatives both posted revenue growth.

ASX Managing Director and CEO Elmer Funke Kupper says the cash market business improved in the third quarter on the back of heightened equity market activity.

He says the group is focused on delivering a number of new products and services this calendar year.
