Australian shares look set to open higher this morning following positive leads from US markets. Stocks rose slightly after President Donald Trump hinted he may push back a key tariff deadline. The President also said that trade talks between US and Chinese officials have gone very well. Equities received a boost after Walmart posted a bumper holiday quarter on the back of higher grocery and e-commerce sales, bucking recent signs of a slowdown in consumer spending.
