Troy Resources: Gold Coast Presentation

Company Presentations

Troy Resources Limited (ASX:TRY) CEO Paul Benson discusses the junior gold producer’s operationsat the June 2012 Gold Coast Resources Showcase.

A bit of back ground on the company, Troy Resources Limited (ASX:TRY), we have been around for a long time and have a good track record. We listed on the ASX as an explorer in 1987, dual-listed on the TSX in 2008.

Our first mine was the Sandstone Mine in Western Australia, which operated from 2000. We paid our first dividend the following year and that enabled us to move into, an early mover into South America, so we’ve been operating there for 10 years.

Today we have two operating mines, Andorinhasin the north of Brazil and the new Casposo mine in the west of Argentina. Although Sandstone closed two years ago it still has some value for us. We have a free carry and a nickel exploration with Western Areas NL (ASX:WSA).

There are two unique things about the company when you compare us to our peers. One, is that we have under 90 million shares on issue. A lot of our peers measure their share issue in hundreds of millions and occasionally billions. The other unique thing is, as I said, we pay dividends.  We’ve paid 12 fully franked cash dividends over the last twelve years.
