Transpacific downgrades FY profit

Company News

Transpacific Industries Group Limited (ASX:TPI) has downgraded its full year guidance due to a decrease in waste volumes and an easing manufacturing sector.

The waste-management company forecasts net profit of between $8 and $13 million, reduced from previous projections of $17.3 million.

Transpacific says Queensland had impacted its earnings as it deferred waste disposal, as the region waited for the removal of a landfill levy.

In the first half of the 2012 financial year, Transpacific reported a net profit of $16.5 million.
