Altech Chemicals' vision is to become one of the leading producers of High Purity Alumina. Our HPA product is worth US$23,000 per tonne so it is a high value product.
By 2025 in the lithium battery sector, it will require about 15,000 tonnes per annum of high purity alumina to service that sector, that is four times the plant that we intend to build in Malaysia. The whole world uses about 25,000 tonnes per annum, which is expected to increase to 86,000 tonnes in 2024.
We are going into a market where there is plenty of growth and we don't expect to have to fight hard for market share.
