Atlas Iron Ltd
(ASX:AGO) says it's doubled its direct shipping ore resource in Western Australia's Pilbara region to just over 186 million tonnes.
The move paves the way for the miner's planned production and sales revenue increases over the next three years.
The revised estimate represents an increase of 97 per cent from the figures published in July 2009 and a rise of 230 per cent from this time last year.
Looking at net profit results for Atlas Iron, the miner posted a $63 million loss in 2009.
