Building products and sugar business CSR
(ASX:CSR) has rejected Bright Food Group's offer to buy CSR's sugar and renewable energy unit.
In a statement issued this morning CSR says it considered the offer however has decided to continue with its demerger proposal.
The company believes the demerger is in the best interests of shareholders and will continue to keep the market informed of its progress.
CSR reported a loss of $326million for fiscal 2009.
