Gold miner St Barbara Ltd
(ASX:SBM) says it produced 55,104 ounces of gold in the December 2009 quarter in line with expectations.
For the six months to December 31 the miner produced 113,938 ounces of gold at an operating cost of $786 per ounce.
The company says it is on track to meet its production guidance for the 2010 fiscal year of between 205,000 and 240,000 ounces of gold at an operating cost of $745 to $820 an ounce.
St Barbara says it has no gold or currency hedging.
St Barbara posted a $76.34 million loss for the year to June 30, 2009.
