Melbourne based energy management company, Intermoco Ltd
(ASX:INT), has signed a five year contract with one of Australia’s major airports.
The company’s subsidiary Utiligy will carry out the contract through its meter communications equipment to provide data for electricity consumption and billing to airport services.
Executive director Ian Kiddle says with airports looking at their energy consumption and with security issues being heightened across all airports there is a real need to put in place automated meter reading solutions.
Mr Kiddle says Utiligy already provides data services and equipment to many airports across the country but this is by far its largest deployment and the company is very excited with the opportunity.
Intermoco posted a loss for fiscal 2009.
