Transfield Services Ltd
(ASX:TSE) has issued US$170 million of long-term senior unsecured notes to institutional investors in the US private placement debt market.
The issue was completed on December 31, 2009 at a weighted average coupon of 5.99%.
The notes were issued in three tranches, with maturities of 5, 7 and 10 years.
Transfield says the proceeds from the issue will be used to pay down existing US borrowings as part of ongoing prudent capital management initiatives.
Transfield Services posted a loss of $55 million for the year to June 30, 2009.
