Engineering company Monadelphous Group Ltd
(ASX:MND) has secured a $60 million facilities management services contract associated with the construction of the Gorgon Project on Barrow Island in Western Australia.
The company says the initial contract is for three years with the option for two further one-year extensions.
Monadelphous will provide management, operation and maintenance on construction facilities and utilities for the Gorgon Project.
Managing Director Rob Velletri says this contract win reinforces the company’s capability as a successful supplier of facility management and maintenance services on Barrow Island.
The Gorgon Project is a joint venture between the Australian subsidiaries of Chevron, ExxonMobil and Shell to develop the greater Gorgon gas field’s offshore Western Australia.
Monadelphous Group’s profits have been rising over the last four years.
