Distributor of children’s toys Funtastic Ltd
(ASX:FUN) has appointed James Cody as Chief Financial Officer effective from November 16 2009.
The company says Mr Cody is a senior finance professional with broad industry experience in Australia, New Zealand and the UK and most recently held the role of group finance director with REDgroup Retail.
Funtastic says Mr Cody played an integral role at REDgroup Retail in a number of transactions including the acquisition of Borders stores throughout Australia, New Zealand and Singapore.
Mr Cody will oversee the finance, legal and information technology components of the business, with chairman Graeme Yeomans saying that he brings with him the knowledge and expertise to positively impact the company as it continues to develop.
Funtastic fell into the red in 2008 posting a $50.8 million loss.
