Stockland (ASX:SGP) appoints new CFO

Property investor Stockland (ASX:SGP) has appointed Tim Foster as Chief Financial Officer.

Mr Foster will take over from current CFO and finance director, Hugh Thorburn, who announced his impending retirement at the company’s annual general meeting.

For the past 10 years Mr Foster has held CFO roles in three major organisations including Colonial First State Investments, Challenger Financial Services and HBOS Australia.

Stockland says Mr Foster will start with Stockland on February 8 2010 and Mr Thorburn will retire at the end of February 2010, facilitating a smooth transaction.

Stockland posted a loss of $1.8 billion for 2009.
