Yen recovers, assisted by lower equity markets. US$ generally soft. Aud GDP coming up

04 Dec 2013 - The dollar was generally a bit weaker today, despite the stronger manufacturing data of the previous session, that had the equity markets declining in anticipation that the Fed may be about to pull the trigger to commence tapering, which in turn assisted the Yen to make a partial recovery. We get a further hint of when tapering might happen with the US GDP/NFP on Thur/Fri. Elsewhere, the Aud and Kiwi have recovered from their lows and now await today's Australian GDP. There is a fair bit from the EU and then the US ADP Jobs data and New Home Sales later in the day, in what looks to be a busy session ahead.
