Following an article in today’s Courier Mail and other media speculation, Auswide Bank Ltd confirms it has recently provided the Board of The Capricornian Ltd., a Central Queensland- based mutual credit union, with a non-binding proposal for a possible merger.
The Board of The Capricornian has, at this stage, declined to advance the proposal. There is no certainty that any future merger will eventuate.
Auswide Bank will continue to keep the market fully informed in compliance with its continuous disclosure obligations.
