US markets approaching maximum risk

by Gary Glover

US equity markets have rallied 64 months now from the March 2009 low without a descent correction or pullback occuring.  Normally 60 months is a long bull market and this is popular timing for a bull trend to come to some sort of completion.  In the few cases where markets have exceeded 60 months - in recent years 64 months has been the statistical outlier.  Is this move going to be the new outlier or will it equal the last outlier?  Which ever way you view equity markets currently there is considerable risk here as the length of this bull trend has reached historical lengths.
