(ASX:WDS), a leading integrated services provider to the energy and mining sectors, notes the article in today’s edition of the Australian Financial Review speculating that its major shareholder, Pala Investments, is conducting a sales process in relation to its 24.8% stake in the company.
WDS advises that Lazard was appointed as strategic adviser to WDS in 2012 and from time to time the company considers a range of strategic alternatives that may have potential to improve value for all shareholders. At this point there are no proposals that the company considers to be price sensitive, nor any certainty that any such proposals will emerge.
