Operations Update – Clear Creek Gas Wells
- Gas production operations commence at USM #1 well
- Preparation operations start at the RR 13-17 well
Marion Energy Limited (ASX: MAE, MAEO, MAEOA) advises of the following operational progress.
1. Utah State Minerals # 1 (USM #1) well
An electrical submersible pump has been run into the well bore and pumping operations to draw down the fluid level in the well bore have commenced.
As the pump draws down the fluid level in the well bore, the back pressure on the reservoir will be relieved and production will increase. It is anticipated that the fluid level in the well bore will need to be drawn down to about 200 feet above the pump before optimum producing conditions can be achieved.
This well is one of the wells that were drilled in the 1950’s and 1960’s and was shut in many years ago. Consequently, any guidance with regard to possible production levels from this well would be premature at this stage.
2. Ridge Runner 13-17 (RR 13-17) well.
The Company has begun the process of clearing the road into the Ridge Runner locations. Once the road is cleared, the Company will move to commence workover operations on these wells. The first well targeted is the Ridge Runner (RR) 13-17 well. It is currently anticipated workover operations will be underway within the next several weeks.
