Water Well Conversion Successfully Completed - Workover Operations on Gas Production Wells to Now Commence
Marion Energy Limited (ASX: MAE) is pleased to advise that the operations to convert the ASD 3-17 well at its Clear Creek, Utah project into a water disposal well have been completed. A packer was set into the well and the well was tested successfully for integrity. Once formal confirmation from the regulatory authorities in Utah has been received, the Company will be able to start using the well to dispose of water generated by the producing wells.
The disposal well will provide the Company with significant operating efficiencies and major cost savings resulting from being able to dispose of water associated with the producing wells into its own disposal well rather than transporting the water and disposing of it into a third party owned well.
As planned, field operations will now commence on the wells that are to be brought into production. Further details of the immediate program with regard to the well workovers will be released to the market in the near future.
