Marion Energy Limited (ASX: MAE) is pleased to advise that it has commenced its well workover program at Clear Creek, Utah with a work program involving thirteen wells. The Company has begun the mobilization of the contractors and equipment necessary to commence the work program. This program consists of thirteen wells: twelve wells are targeted to be brought onto production and one water disposal well is to be completed.
The first action will be to convert the ASD 3-17 well into a water disposal well, followed by various operations to be performed in varying stages on the twelve wells that are currently scheduled to be brought on production. Up to four stages of work may be performed on the wells, although it is not expected that each well will need to undergo all stages.
The Company is not planning to bring all 12 wells on production at the same time with the work most likely being done in groups of wells. Once a group of wells is performing satisfactorily, the next group will undergo workovers aimed at putting them on production. All operations will be undertaken in a methodical, tightly disciplined manner.
It is important to note that the infrastructure necessary to gather and deliver to market the natural gas produced by the wells is already in place and the water well conversion will dispose of the water produced by these wells. Gas produced will therefore be able to be quickly sold into the market.
