Iron ore miner Oz Minerals Ltd
(ASX:OZL) has appointed Neil Hamilton as chairman.
Mr Hamilton is currently chairman of Mount Gibson Iron, Miclyn Express Offshore and is a director of Metcash.
Mr Hamilton will also retire as chairman of Iress Market Technology and Northern Iron in May 2010.
Of his appointment, Mr Hamilton says he is delighted to be working with a company that is very well positioned within the resources sector at this time.
Oz also announced the appointment of Charles Lenegan as a director and the retirement of Barry Cusack and Peter Mansell as directors of the board.
Yesterday the company announced a joint venture with IMX Resources Ltd (ASX:IXR) to explore and develop copper-gold projects on IMX’s Mt Woods tenements in South Australia.
In 2009 Oz Minerals posted a loss of $517.3 million.
