Aurizon Holdings Limited
(ASX:AZJ) has renewed a coal haulage contract for the Dawson and Callide Mines with Anglo American and Mitsui.
The logistics company says the 10-year performance based agreement provides for haulage of significant volumes of coal.
Aurizon advises these contestable volumes replace the company's existing contract servicing the mines and the new contract is effective immediately.
Aurizon says Anglo American and Mitsui are valued customers and the company is delighted to renew its long-term relationship for the mines.
Aurizon reported a net profit of $308 million in the first half of the 2015 financial year.
