Agreement paves way for commencement of drilling at Kallona Pool

Highlights:

- Preliminary agreement for access struck with local custodians to conduct drill program

- Working party clears approx. 40km of drill lines

- Phase 1 drilling commences ­ comprising 5km of RC drilling on Mn targets
 
 Condor Metal's (ASX: CNK) Kallona project area is approximately 70km  southeast of Nullagine in the East Pilbara, Western Australia. The project area lies 75Km west of the Nullagine River JV (Fortescue / BC Iron). It contains outcropping Marra Mamba Iron Formation and manganese bearing Carawine Dolomite, both of which are largely covered by weathered and transported material.  
 
The local custodians of the country are the Palyku people, of whom a significant number still reside in Nullagine. Due to a number of other mining and exploration activities in the Nullagine district, the Palyku Native Title Working Group is well used to dealing with resource companies. 
  
The exploration tenement was originally granted without a negotiated agreement, however Condor recognises that despite all best intentions, future work on the prospect relies on a healthy, respectful relationship with both the traditional owners and the owners of the property, Noorena Downs. The area, despite its remoteness is rich in history from both the indigenous and European settlers perspective. 
 
 In a short period of time Condor has built a solid relationship with the Palyku people, which will serve well as the company engages on its first ground disturbance activities. Condor has received preliminary approval from the working party following the clearance of approximately 40km of drilling lines, which cover the 82 hole program extending over an area of approximately 14km E-W and 2km N-S.
 
 Phase one, being performed by contractor Mt Magnet Drilling, comprises 5000m of reverse circulation drilling and is focussed on the high conductivity manganese targets identified in the VTEM airborne geophysical work. Deeper extensions of selected holes will also test for mineral anomalies in the fringes of the intrusive body found below the main targets.
 
Condor anticipates the initial program with take approximately one month to complete, and all being well, it will continue with the second phase which will largely focus on the depth and thickness of the Marra Mamba iron formation.
