Arc Exploration Limited (ASX:ARX) Initial Results form Scout Drilling at Trenggalek, Indonesia

INITIAL RESULTS FROM SCOUT DRILLING AT TRENGGALEK, INDONESIA

Arc Exploration Limited (ASX Code: ARX) is pleased to report results from the first  four holes completed in scout drilling at the Trenggalek Project in East Java.

The initial four holes have now been completed for a total of 910 metres.

The first two holes were drilled at the Suruh Prospect on the eastern side of a geophysical anomaly. Both intersected low-grade gold mineralisation associated with intensely altered volcaniclastic rocks, including 4 m at 0.55 g/t gold from 65 m in TRDD046 and 16.8 m at 0.18 g/t gold from 77 m in TRDD047.

These initial drilling results whilst low grade, confirm the presence of gold beneath the eastern portion of the extensive gold-arsenic-antimony anomalous breccias at Suruh. The most intense part of the geophysical anomaly on the central-western side of the prospect remains to be tested and more drilling is planned to further test this target.

The third hole was drilled at the northern end of a 300 m long silicified structure on the eastern side of the Timahan Prospect. It also returned low-grade gold intercepts of 5.3 m at 0.15 g/t gold from 55.8 m and 6.5 m at 0.18 g/t gold from 77 m in TRDD048. It confirms the presence of gold in one of several silicified structures that occur in the extensive silicified limestone cap at Timahan. Further drilling will be conducted at the southern end of this structure where surface gold results of up to 6 g/t gold in grab samples occur.

The fourth hole was drilled at the Kojan Prospectand penetrated the southern end of the Kenong Vein, 50 m down dip of a previous drill intersection of 1.9 m at 11.28 g/t gold & 293 g/t silver in TRDD035. It returned a narrow gold intercept of 1.1 m at 1.39 g/t gold & 40 g/t silver from 104.2 m in TRDD049.

The Kenong vein is part of a north-northwest trending multiple vein swarm. Each vein has been traced at surface for at least 100 to 250 metres strike-length with widths of up to 5 metres. Further drilling will be undertaken to test this large vein system.

Managing Director, Mr. John Carlile, commented:

"These initial drilling results confirm the presence of gold mineralisation beneath the extensive alteration at Suruh and Timahan. Now the aim is to test for higher grade concentrations through further drilling.

There is more drilling to be done on these targets and on the numerous other
prospects identified and this will be our main focus over the coming months at
Trenggalek."

The Company has three projects. Trenggalek, in East Java, the subject of this  announcement, Bima in East Sumbawa, and a Strategic Alliance with the Anglo American group in Papua.
