Chinese Applications
PWS has signed a small number of agreements with Chinese
companies to assist with sales and marketing in China.
We have previously reported on applications in the Tianjin region
in north eastern China. This announcement covers applications in
the south-eastern area around Ningbo.
Ningbo Tianyun Eco-control Project Co Ltd will undertake its
first commercial applications of Phoslock to a number of small
lakes and canals in the Hubei Province of China. Ningbo Tianyun
Eco-control Project Co Ltd recently purchased 20 tons of Phoslock for these applications
and whilst the recent floods in China have delayed the initial starting dates, these
applications are still expected to proceed in 2010.
Monitoring of the applications will be conducted in conjunction with local regulatory
authorities and will serve as part of the required regulatory approvals process.
HubeiProvince and PWS signed a marketing agreement in May 2010, allowing Ningbo
Tianyun Eco-control Project Co Ltd, to represent Phoslock in certain provinces in China.
Ningbo Tianyun Eco-control Project Co Ltd's core business is lake and water body
remediation and these applications, if successful will see expanded use of Phoslock with
existing and contractual Ningbo Tianyun Eco-control Project Co Ltd customers. Ningbo
Tianyun Eco-control Project Co Ltd is also investigating the use of Phoslock in conjunction with their existing Lake remediation technologies.
