ActivEX Limited (ASX: AIV), an Australian mineral exploration company primarily focused on gold and base metals projects within Queensland, has announced a significant increase in the JORC Compliant Inferred Mineral Resource Estimate for its Mt Hogan Gold Project. The updated estimate reports 9.8 million tonnes (Mt) at 1.28 grams per tonne (g/t) gold for 403,000 ounces of contained gold, based on a 0.3 g/t gold cut-off grade. This estimate is effective as of 25 August 2026. ActivEX holds a 20.95% equity stake in the project, which is operated by Gilberton Gold Pty Ltd.
This revised resource represents a substantial enhancement from the previously reported Maiden Resource Estimate of 8.5 Mt at 1.13 g/t gold for 301,000 ounces, announced in July 2025. The current figures indicate an approximate 15% increase in tonnes, a 13% rise in grade, and a 30% boost in contained gold, despite accounting for historical mining depletion. The increase follows a further program of RC drilling completed in November 2025, comprising 52 holes for 5,091 metres. The estimate is derived from a validated database of 142 drill holes, totalling 13,717 metres, with mineralisation interpreted across 44 vein domains. Grades were estimated using Ordinary Kriging in Leapfrog Edge, with the classification capped at Inferred due to the pure-nugget grade continuity.
Managing Director Mark Derriman commented on the milestone, stating that the increase in the Inferred Mineral Resource Estimate “marks the continued evolution of the Mt Hogan Gold Project which hopefully one day leads back to operational status.” Mr Derriman acknowledged Gilberton Gold’s professionalism and drive as crucial to the project’s success, highlighting the Mt Hogan Resource Area as a small part of an 8km gold mineralised trend. Following this resource increase, the joint venture has outlined a recommended operational program aimed at supporting an improved Mineral Resource Estimate. This includes metallurgical testwork, heterogeneity and sampling testwork, QAQC re-establishment, twin hole drilling, and a systematic density measurement program, among other initiatives.
