Impact Minerals Ltd, $800,000 Drill Spend from Next Month on Key Mulga Tank Nickel Project Near Kalgoorlie

A new $800,000 drilling program will commence next month by Impact Minerals Limited on its newly acquired Mulga Tank joint venture nickel project, northeast of Kalgoorlie which the Company has targeted as a potential one million tonne metals project.

Speaking in Perth today at the 2013 Paydirt Australian Nickel Conference, Impact Minerals Limited, Dr Mike Jones, says the primary focus is to prove up a new nickel field in a “substantially under explored” region.

“In our assessment to acquire Mulga Tank, we saw it as a possible new nickel camp as it hosts seven coincident EM-soil geochemistry drill ready targets and is similar to world-class nickel mines including Perseverance, Mt Keith and Kambalda,” Dr Jones said.

“In fact, such is our belief in the area we are seeking to increase our equity in key licences within the tenements,” he said.

Impact is acquiring 100% of six licences within the JV and earning 50% in a further seven. The other interests are held by Golden Cross Resources.
