Blackthorn Resources Ltd, Sepaogo Permit Exploration Results - Burkina Faso Exploration

Blackthorn Resources Limited (ASX:BTR) (“the Company” or “Blackthorn Resources”) is pleased to provide the following progress report from exploration activities carried out on the Sepaogo Permit in Burkina Faso, West Africa.

The Company has commenced preliminary exploration work on the “Northern Tenements” (made up of the Poa, Guido, Seboun and Sepaogo permits) looking for other VMS style deposits similar to the Perkoa deposit, which the Company and joint venture partner Glencore International are currently developing.

The Sepaogo permit is located west of the Poa permit and 8 km west of the Perkoa zinc deposit A regional soil sampling campaign was undertaken in 2008 using a grid of 400m x100m covering the whole permit. The sampling revealed a gold, copper, zinc and lead anomaly which was confirmed by a more detailed geochemistry work.

The soil-sampling program was followed by a geophysical Induced Polarisation (“IP”) survey using the “gradient” method on 8 lines and the “pole dipole” method on 2 lines. The IP survey showed that the soil geochemistry anomalies were supported by IP anomalies.
