Blackthorn Resources Ltd, Mumbwa Project: Phase 5 Kitumba Drilling Gives More High-Grade Copper Assays

KEY POINTS

Copper assay results from drill holes S36-033 and S36-034 have been received showing continuation of high-grade copper intersections at Kitumba

Best drilled thickness copper intersection in drill hole S36-034 includes:
S36-034 (vertical hole)
- 219m at 2.02% Cu between 245m and 464m, including: 42m at 5.69% Cu between 302m and 344 meters.

Copper assays received include the end of abandoned drill hole S36- 033. Replacement drill hole underway and planning to drill to a minimum 600m vertical depth.

S36-033 (vertical hole – results from 433m depth)
- 18m at 0.55 % Cu between 440m and 458 meters
- Copper results to 433m depth were announced on 23 February 2012.

Gold assays have been received for drill holes S36-026 and S36-029.

Best drilled thickness gold intersection in drill hole S36-029 includes:
S36-029 (inclined 70º towards 270º)
- 6m at 0.35g/t Au between 284m and 290m,
- 4m at 0.30g/t Au between 307m and 311m,
- 22m at 0.35g/t Au between 350m and 372 meters.

Blackthorn Resources Limited (ASX:BTR) (“the Company” or “Blackthorn Resources”) has received more assay results from the Phase 5 cored drilling program at the 100% held Mumbwa Project in Zambia. The recently received assay results include copper from drill holes S36-033 and S36-34, as well as gold assays for drill holes S36-026 and S36- 029.
