Bass Metals Limited announces Preliminary drill results delineate extensive graphite mineralisation at adjacent Mahefedok deposit

PRELIMINARY DRILL RESULTS DELINEATE EXTENSIVE GRAPHITE MINERALISATION AT ADJACENT MAHEFEDOK DEPOSIT

Highlights

  • Highly encouraging preliminary assay results received from onsite laboratory, with all drill holes demonstrating mineralisation and a large number of holes returning mineralised intercepts above recent trial mining head grades at Mahefedok.
  • Significant intercepts of soft easily mineable saprolite1 mineralisation, capable of delivering low mining costs, include:

> 24.4m @ 4.4% FixedCarbon2
> 16m @ 5.1% FixedCarbon
> 13.2m @ 5.6% FixedCarbon
> 7.8m @ 6.6% FixedCarbon

  • Bass is pleased with results to date in progressing the material expansion of Graphmada’s resource inventory and in parallel refurbishing the operating Graphmada mine to produce the highest quality concentrates using industry best practices.
  • The successful interim drilling results at Mahefedok are an important step towards providing additional shallow, easily mineable long-term ore feed directly adjacent to current processing facilities at Graphmada.
  • In addition, Bass has discovered that the underlying hard rock is extensively mineralised along strike, with significant high-grade mineralisation intercepts.
Bass Metals Limited (ASX: “BSM”) (the “Company”) is delivering on its aims to materially expand resources at the Graphmada large to jumbo flake graphite mine, located in eastern Madagascar, while refurbishing the mine to deliver our goal of producing the highest quality concentrates using industry best practices.
