ANZ grows 9 month profit

Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ASX:ANZ) has lifted net profit by 8 per cent in the nine months to the end of June this year. 
 
The bank says asset pricing is competitive in the corporate and institutional sectors while growth in Asia is a highlight. 
 
The bank suggests full year earnings will be in line with guidance while revenue growth will be at the lower end of the guidance range. 
 
CEO Mike Smith says a strong balance is being created between growth, return, and capital generation to position ANZ for improved financial performance. 
 
ANZ reported a net profit of $3.4 billion in the six months to the end of March this year.
