Bellamy’s shares climb 30% on ASX debut

Shares in Bellamy's Australia Limited (ASX:BAL) climbed 30 per cent on their first day of trade on the Australian Securities Exchange. 
 
The baby food maker claims to produce wholesome, nutritious, organic foods certified organic by the National Association for Sustainable Agriculture in Australia (NASAA). 
 
The company told the ASX on its first day of trade its organic infant formula manufacturing partner in Australia has received accreditation in China. 
 
The nation has officially registered Tatura Milk Industries as an overseas production enterprise for infant formula, enabling Bellamy's to export to China immediately. 
 
Bellamy's says it is only one of a handful of companies certified organic by both Australian and Chinese authorities. 
 
Shares in Bellamy floated with an issue price of $1.00, opened at $1.31 and closed 30.5 per cent higher at $1.30.
