Paradigm Biopharmaceuticals Ltd. (ASX: PAR), a late-stage drug development company focused on delivering new therapies to address unmet medical needs, has announced a drawdown of the remaining balance of Tranche 4 under its Convertible Note Facility. The company, which develops injectable pentosan polysulfate sodium (iPPS) for diseases where inflammation plays a major pathogenic role, such as osteoarthritis, has secured an additional US$2 million (approximately A$2.8 million). This capital injection strengthens Paradigm’s working capital position and supports its fully enrolled global Phase 3 clinical trial for knee osteoarthritis.

The additional capital is directed towards Paradigm’s pivotal global Phase 3 clinical trial (PARA_OA_012), evaluating iPPS for knee osteoarthritis. Enrolment for this study has been successfully completed with 538 participants, exceeding the original target of 466. With enrolment achieved, Paradigm’s immediate focus is on progressing patient treatment, follow-up assessments, and data collection across its clinical site network in the United States, Australia, Hong Kong, and Moldova. This drawdown provides crucial working capital for ongoing clinical operations, database management, and regulatory activities as Paradigm advances towards its planned interim analysis and subsequent top-line primary endpoint readout.

This latest drawdown completes Tranche 4 of the US$27 million (A$41.2 million) Convertible Note Facility with Obsidian Global Partners, LLC. Previous drawdowns under Tranches 1, 2, and 3 occurred between July 2025 and February 2026, with an initial US$3 million from Tranche 4 announced in July 2026. Approximately US$5 million (A$6.9 million) now remains available under the facility, providing continued financial flexibility for Phase 3 execution and broader commercial readiness activities. Paradigm confirmed it remains funded through the planned interim analysis and top-line primary endpoint readout, reiterating its focus on disciplined capital management.
