WorleyParsons scores Woodside contract

WorleyParsons Limited (ASX:WOR) has scored a contract for the Woodside Petroleum Limited (ASX:WPL)-operated $29.5 billion North West Shelf Project in the Carnarvon Basin off the north-west coast of Australia.
 
The award will see WorleyParsons provide engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) services for the project. 
 
While the financials have not been disclosed WorleyParsons will deliver services for both onshore and offshore assets which will be led and executed from its Perth location.
 
Reports have also emerged this week claiming WorleyParsons is facing a class-action lawsuit concerning allegations it held back market information in November 2013.
 
ACA Lawyers are understood to have collected funding to launch the action ahead of taking the issue to the Federal Court this year. 
 
WorleyParsons reported a net profit of almost $120 million in the first half of the 2014 financial year.
