WorleyParsons wins US contract

WorleyParsons Limited (ASX:WOR) has won a contract from Sasol North America to work on a chemical plant in Louisiana worth as much as $21 billion.
 
Under the contract, WorleyParsons will prvide services to the front-end engineering an design phase, with intent to also work on the engineering, procurement and construction phase of the project.
 
Sasol’s integrated chemical comples will produce fuel including GTL diesel and other chemical products.
 
WorleyParsons CEO Andrew Wood says the company is excited to help Sasol realise the opportunity presented by the gas reserves in the US.
 
WorleyParsons delivered a $166 million net profit in the first half of the 2013 financial year.
