WorleyParsons Limited
(ASX:WOR) has won a contract to help develop the Kami Iron Ore project in Canada, worth an estimated $92.5 million.
Under the contract, the company will carry out the engineering, procurement and construction management with Alderon Iron Ore Corporation and the Kami Mine Limited Partnership.
The Kami site is located near the Canadian mining towns of Wabush and Labrador City in Quebec.
Production is scheduled to begin in late 2015.
WorleyParsons CEO Andrew Wood says the work will be completed on a world-scale iron ore project and will build on its relationship with Alderon.
WorleyParsons generated a net profit of $165.9 million for the first half of fiscal 2013.
