Worleyparsons Limited
(ASX:WOR) has been awarded a services contract valued at $US81.5 million to assist in the development of the first Polish nuclear power plant.
The contract includes site characterisation, licensing and permitting for the development of the plant.
Services will be provided by Worleyparsons’ nuclear hubs in Bulgaria and the United states, involving work on two potential sites.
CEO Andrew Wood says Worleyparsons will provide more than 50 years of experience in support of building a safe and efficient nuclear power plant compliant with the latest safety requirements.
Worleyparsons generated a net profit of $376.5 million in the 2012 financial year.
