Suncorp Group Limited’s
(ASX:SUN) has generated a 60 per cent rise in its full year net profit. The general insurance provider posted a $724 million net profit in fiscal 2012 and has announced a bonus dividend to be paid to its shareholders.
Suncorp says its transition towards a stronger focus on insurance in recent years contributed to the annual result.
A final dividend of 20 cents has been declared, plus a special dividend of 15 cents, lifting the final payout to 55 cents per share.
