Newcrest Mining
(ASX:NCM) reported its third year of record annual gold production at its Lihir gold mine in PNG.
Overall, its gold production for the 2018 financial year is at the upper end of its revised guidance, just 2 per cent below its original guidance.
As for copper production, that came above its revised guidance and just 3 per cent below its original financial year guidance.
Newcrest says it was quarter ‘to be proud of’, coupled with record production in PNG, it also recovered well from the NSW Cadia tailings wall slump in March.
