Newcrest Mining
(ASX:NCM) has announced it will restart mining at its Cadia East operations today, after a tailings breakthrough sparked a shutdown at the site earlier in the month.
No one was injured at the mine and Newcrest believes there is no threat to personal safety.
While mining operations will recommence, processing remains suspended.
The company says it is still too early for guidance to be updated.
Shares in Newcrest Mining
(ASX:NCM) are trading 1.04 per cent lower to $19.96.
