Suncorp
(ASX:SUN) has reported group net profit after tax of $1.075 billion (in FY17), a 3.6 per cent gain from the FY16.
Its insurance arm’s NPAT hit $723 million and saw a 30 per cent gain.
Meantime, its Banking and Wealth division’s NPAT fell 4.3 per cent to $400 million, whilst it was adapting to economic and regulatory changes.
The company declared a final ordinary dividend of 40 cents per share, taking the total 2016-2017 total dividend to 73 cents per share fully franked.
Meantime the group’s operating expenses increased 2.9 per cent to $2.746 billion.
