Carnegie Clean Energy receives Defence contract for Microgrid

Carnegie Clean Energy Limited’s (ASX:CCE) subsidiary, Energy Made Clean, has been awarded a Defence contract for a Microgrid System, at the Delamere Air Weapons Range near Darwin.

The company says the contract is to design, construct and install a solar, diesel and battery energy storage system (BESS) microgrid.

The hybrid power system will supply high penetration solar power to about 200kVA [VOLT AMPS] peak load, and deliver a 61 per cent savings on diesel consumption.

The energy developer says the project is due for completion in mid-2018.

Shares in Carnegie Clean Energy Limited’s (ASX:CCE) closed 1.69 per cent lower to 5.8 cents.
