(ASX:SUN) has announced it has received about 11,000 claims for natural hazard events, including the Sydney hailstorm, over the past eight months.
The bank estimates the financial impact of the event will be between $150 and $170 million.
As a result, its total natural hazard claim costs for the eight months to 28 February 2017, are estimated to fall between $610 and $630 million.
The group says it remains protected for the 2017 financial year, against further natural hazard events, as it has a catastrophe program and additional natural hazard protection.
