BHP Billiton Ltd’s
(ASX:BHP) CEO Marius Kloppers full year salary has risen 9 per cent to US$11.3 million.
The pay rise comes on the back of an increase in BHP's fiscal 2010 results.
For the year to 30 June, the global miner reported 16 per cent profit growth on the back of record sales volumes in iron ore, coal and petroleum.
In its annual report, BHP says while the global economic outlook has improved, the recovery remains fragile.
Adding that despite a near-term slowing in China, BHP continues to believe that the fundamentals driving Asian growth are robust.
BHP affirms it remains cautious in the short-term, though its long term outlook is strong.
The miner says it will continue to focus on large, long-life, low-cost, upstream and high quality assets diversified by commodity, geography and markets.
BHP Billiton delivered a $15.26 billion profit in fiscal 2010.
