Newcrest Mining Limited
(ASX:NCM) says mining at its Toguraci mine in Indonesia resumed today.
Work at the mine has been suspended since February following a ‘geotechnical event’.
A miner was trapped at the adjacent Kencana mine which is also part of the Gosowong gold mining operation.
Full production is not expected from Toguraci for at least two months whilst mining at Kencana remains suspended.
The impact on guidance will be updated after recovery plans have been completed.
Newcrest reported a net profit of $121.82 million for the six months to the end of December 2015.
