Newcrest Mining Limited
(ASX:NCM) has announced at fatality at the Cadia Ridgeway gold mine on Sunday night.
NSW Police and the NSW Mine Safety Inspectorate are both investigating how the mine technician was fatally injured and Newcrest says no further details are available at the moment.
Production at the Cadia mine located south of Orange in New South Wales has been suspended.
Newcrest Mining reported a net profit of $560 million for the 2015 financial year.
